The Elven Smith - unveiling the magic

The Elven Smith - unveiling the magic

Well friends, for my first blog I wanted to bring something personal and couldn't think of a better place to start than the origin of The Elven Smith!

What is The Elven Smith?

The Elven Smith draws inspiration from enchanting fantasy worlds, a nod to my Kiwi roots and English countryside life. As a lover of fantasy novels, I aim to breathe life into unique, wearable jewellery inspired by books, games, and my imagination. I work to forge jewellery you won't find anywhere else.

Specialising in silver, gold, and distinctive gemstones, each piece balances fine detail with bold statements.

Where it began

My passion for jewelry blossomed in finding my grandmother's eclectic collection when I was barely knee high to a grasshopper. I loved the colours, shapes and all things oversized. Frustrated by mass-produced designs, my quest for individuality in modern design led to me learn how to make my own jewellery.

In 2017 I took my first silver class and made a ring with a flower and vine pattern that felt like it was alive and instantly knew this is what I wanted to be doing.

From there I embarked on an adventure to combine nature and fantasy into one-of-a-kind jewellery.

Why the Elven Smith?

I create jewellery you cannot find anywhere else.
Each piece is individually hand made by me in my Oxfordshire studio where I am surrounded by the fantastical and magical to inspire my work.

I want you to feel excited to find the perfect ring, confident when wearing your power necklace and able to be completely yourself in the earrings of your dreams.

Our values

  • Quality Craftsmanship:
    • With more than 5 years experience, I believe in patience and working with intention vs mass production.
  • Experimentation and Individuality:
    • Embracing bold design choices and unique pieces.
  • Inclusivity:
    • Making the unusual and hard to find. I also have a keen interest in making jewellery for those who find it harder to wear jewellery - with adjustable sizing and no clasps.
  • Sustainable Practices:
    • I utilise recycled silver, ethical gemstone sourcing practices, and recycled materials like TV glass and man-made materials like sterling opals.
  • Transparent process:
    • Buying jewellery is an investment and I know that takes trust when choosing who to buy from. I stream my jewellery making process so you can watch or ask questions.

What's in store for the future?

This year I will be expanding into local stores in Oxfordshire, England, so anyone local can see my products up close!

This new brand feels like the excitement I had as a child when it came to reading a new book. The anticipation, the magic and the promise of getting lost in the adventure.

So as this new journey unfolds, be sure to join our community and get exclusive content updates on the adventures ahead! You can also find me on Instagram and TikTok for even more behind-the-scenes glimpses.

Thanks for being here friends!

The Elven Smith, where imagination and excitement meets craftsmanship.
